It does not double the items, just increases them by some % (40 or so).
For nonstackable items it rolls and if it succeeds, another such item is spawned.

I observed some pvp fights and there is far too many knockouts resulting from crit eyeshot. This will be changed ASAP and the new table will be posted, probably with few other changes.
