Title: Reloaded WIKI
Post by: Kilgore on December 17, 2015, 09:13:11 pm
http://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki

Here is a thread where wiki editors can exchange information, wiki errors can be reported, and so on.
Wiki contents are made by players, because we simply don't have time to work on it.

If you want to contribute to our wiki, you should send a private message to Henry (http://forum.fonline-reloaded.net/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=827), with subject: "WIKI Account", and you need to specify what username and password you want to use there. To prevent botting, vandalism and other problems accounts are registered manually. After he replies to you that your account is ready, you can login to wiki and change your password to something else. It is also recommended to set an email address - it allows to reset your password if you forget it. Don't worry, we will never send anything to the email address that is set on wiki account.

The most active wiki editors are added to "Wiki Editor" group here on forums. Big thanks to all that were/are working on wiki.

Added: "when worn" image field to Armor Template, and added corresponding images to all armor pages accordingly. (Missing bk robe image and likely a few others - wip)

Example (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/Pants)

Added: Metal Jacket (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/Metal_Jacket) to armor list and documented. Thanks to "newb" for finding some issues with values on armor pages.

Added: Long list of all known organized groups of NPCs, unlinked - maybe to document later. (list does not include all creatures.)

Recent Edits (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/Special:Contributions/Henry&offset=&limit=500&target=Henry)
* Added Fridge (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/Fridge)
* Added a simple Containers Template (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/Template:Container)
* Added pertinent info to Implants (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/Implants) page, including purchase price column in the chart
* Documented some NPCs in New Reno, including The Corsican Brothers (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/The_Corsican_Brothers)
* Cleaned up Templates Category (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/Category:Templates) page
* Added a Known Bugs (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/Known_Bugs) page
* Started adding Kilgore's Mapper Guide (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/Kilgore%27s_Mapper_Guide) (from forum)
* Added a Critters3 Template (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/Template:Critter3) for documenting Group Encounters
* Started documenting Group Encounters (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/Group_Encounters) (whoah Nellie, there's a lot to do here)

Everyone, please go to the new Group Encounters (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/Group_Encounters) page and notice how many of the links there are red. Those are the groups missing pages on our beloved wiki. And even the groups that have pages, are missing fun-facts, loot and relevant info.

I invite you to go find these groups, enter in Turn-Based, get screens if you have to, but document them and send it to me so i can get it on the wiki without having to go hunt each one down myself.

Wiki Credits can be awarded for this. Kilgore gave me prizes to award for good work, and most are still sitting in the Wiki Awards Warehouse ready to go. Just make sure you do complete work, including references to avatars (See Wiki Credits post (https://forum.fonline-reloaded.net/11582.0) on this forum, third post down).

NOTE: Often, the group(s) that actually spawn in encounters are NOT the groups named in the encounter prompt. Make sure you provide accurate info without getting group names mixed up.

To get Awards, Here is What is Really Needed
* Group Name
* 3 Group Avatar Images (use the NPC gallery here (https://forum.fonline-reloaded.net/11582.0), 3rd post down)
* A brief description of the group
* Disposition:
>> Hostile (they attack on sight)
>> Non-Hostile (by default they stay cool unless attacked)
>> Semi-Hostile (they attack if you don't holster your weapon)
* Armor (some groups have a variety)
* Weapons (try to note all of them)
* Hit Points (I just need highest and lowest, not each one)
* XP (OPTIONAL!) (Experience Points you get for defeating them in combat) (highest/lowest again)
* Loot they drop, if it's significant (only important stuff, like stimpak, or some good gear)
* Any notes about them you feel is worthy info

About the 3 images per group: some groups have all identical people, but many have a variety. If it's the same, just say so. If they vary, wiki template i use has room for 3, so just pick the 3 you want to see on wiki.

ALERT!

All Wiki Editors take notice...

Not sure if this is happening to other editors, but lately going into edit mode on any page somehow shows me an earlier version of that page. If i don't notice this, i'll make new edits, Save, and notice the new edits are there, but that page will be missing the edits i made 10 minutes ago. Very frustrating.

The solution for now: every time you start to Edit a page, use "Refresh" first, so you get the most current version. So Edit, then immediately Refresh, then make new edits, and Save.

I've been working on this for a few days, on and off, over the last week. I made a character with max Intelligence and Charisma (with gain stat perks), as well as 9 Strength (in case any quests involved it) and started going through all the various quest, mini-quests, and jobs. I recorded the information as I went along. Providing what I've recorded here for someone to update and edit the WIKI.

Included in the following are NPC names, Quest Names, information on what the quests and jobs are (items, locations, etc), how much XP, Caps, and Loot is obtained from each, plus notes, including what's bugged, broken, or missing. I didn't cover the main quests and skipped a few quests that are already in the wiki.

It's a work in progress and some stuff is missing or incomplete. I'm heading out of town tomorrow, will be gone for a bit. Not sure what my time will be like coming back, but I'll likely continue working on this. If others want to chime in as well, cool.

I will note that my character has Swift Learner, so the XP isn't adjusted for the base. Sorry, didn't feel like doing the math.

Attaching the three word documents.

You're hooked! Which is good because there's tons more to do. However, a Credits page (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/Credits) will no longer be necessary since now we already have one.

I sure do.
Keep up the quality work man.
People who work on the project, donate and enrich it with a positive attitude are eventually the sole reason I could and can enjoy it nowadays.
I appreciate and respect it.

Is this up to date? Anyone tested to join after last wipe?

https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/index.php?title=Talk_to_the_guard_to_be_able_to_join_Vault_City

When I try to talk guard about my expertises, he just says something about try again later etc. I have tried in the morning, night, on daily basis for many weeks. I just guess dialog is broken currently, but nobody has tried to join for now and make it looks like I'm only one with problem.

I have all skills max mentioned on the wiki, even tried with skill tools but still nothing.

Runboy, it has been maybe 6 years since i had an alt in that faction, so i no, i don't know about this. I wish i had a better answer, but at least you see people read this.

If it is try again later, there are 2 possibilities I've seen.

You lack in intelligence or charisma, you might need a minimum of 3. I'm not sure but try popping mentats and see what happens

Or the guard is attempting to walk somewhere (even if they're standing still) literally come back and try again later.

It might be something else, but I've seen similar responses from NPCs that were tied to these two. It can be a kind of generic catch all response.

I've tried with 4CH, and that gate guard is one of those NPCs that not move normally.

I did send again +requesthelp, did got "?" message on my chat, but on meanwhile were doing other stuff (about 1 hour later or so came answer), I try again later.

I think the problem is that You are in a player driven faction.

If You arent then You should have such option:

Solved!

Kamasutra Master support perk opens new dialog with gate guard (gay option), and let you become citizen. Wiki needs to be updated:

we have

Old links don't work so please update wiki links in your guides etc.

A lot more time has been spent updating the wiki and adding content, and not all of it is from me, so thank you to all who contribute by editing the wiki. To all players, thank you for reporting things regarding the oracle *ahem* i mean the wiki.

Here's a very partial list of newer pages, added over the last year. Much of this is content from Corosive, our enthusiastic Canadian developer (is he still mia?):
* No Child Left Behind, awww (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/No_Child_Left_Behind)
* Into the Great Wide Open (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/Into_the_Great_Wide_Open) is one of the two Starting Location quests you get from the caravan leader (J.D.)
* Hello City (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/Hello_City) is a good one for a new player at low level
* Find William's Daughter (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/Find_William%27s_Daughter) (jarok's quest) is fantastic, and finally added to wiki
* The Lonely Hunting Camp (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/The_Lonely_Hunting_Camp)
* The Anguished Man (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/The_Anguished_Man) is one of those easy things a new player can do for some early XP
* A Light in the Darkness (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/A_Light_in_the_Darkness). I'm speechless. This is a fun, well-written crime investigation in Hub
* Too Much Blood and Broken Bones (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/Too_Much_Blood_and_Broken_Bones) is the Shady Sands' extension of Light in the Darkness
* Damn Vault Dwellers (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/Damn_Vault_Dwellers) is a tough challenge ammo sink, also found and added to wiki
* Newer features available in Barter Ground (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/Barter_Ground) have been added, along with images
** These do not appear in-game atm, so check back later
* More than a few missing items were added, using the item templates
* More than a few NPCs were added to wiki, using the NPC templates
* The Great American Heist (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/The_Great_American_Heist) is so clever! Added to wiki, and i suggest you all try it.
* Love, or Something Like It (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/Love,_or_Something_Like_It) is another easy way to get some early XP in Shady Sands
* Ol' Yeller (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/Ol%27_Yeller) is an easy one, and the dog lives if you bring 1 RadAway.
* Last but not least, expansion of the Blood-Soaked Heroes (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/Blood-Soaked_Heroes), main quest page - what a great job he did on this

MORE
* A new Startup Guide (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/Guide_Sandbox) is in the works, motivated by Arronax's helpful YouTube video for new players, and things found by other friends too.
* A new template was added so that shops can be documented. The Maltese Falcon (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/Maltese_Falcon) was added, for example. This won't be done for a long time - there are many shops. If all people, places, and things are interlinked on our wiki, then it's a nearly complete info network.

Also found these quests and added them...
* To Open Pandora's Box, supposedly in Hub
* Hippocratic Oath, supposedly in Junktown
* Shell Shock My Hyper-Vigilance, supposedly in Shady Sands
* The Thousand Yard Stare, supposedly in Shady Sands
* Legacy of the Vault Dweller, supposedly in Shady Sands

Still Looking for this Quest
* Whispers in the Dark, supposedly from Jeremiah in Junktown

Title: Re: Reloaded WIKI
Post by: Henry on July 04, 2022, 07:11:18 pm
Added a 2-column version of the ammo template, so it's now easier to compare JHP ammo to its AP version. Examples:
* 10mm JHP (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/10mm_JHP) and 10mm AP (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/10mm_AP)
* 5mm JHP (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/5mm_JHP) and 5mm AP (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/5mm_AP)
* Needler Cartridges (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/HN_Needler_Cartridge) and Needler AP (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/HN_AP_Needler_Cartridge)
* Explosive Rockets (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/Explosive_Rocket) and Rocket AP (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/Rocket_AP)
* .44 Magnum JHP (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/.44_Magnum_JHP) and .44 Magnum FMJ (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/.44_Magnum_FMJ)
* Flamethrower Fuel (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/Flamethrower_Fuel) and Flamethrower Fuel MKII (https://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/Flamethrower_Fuel_MKII)

With this change to certain ammo pages, the differences between ammo variants should stand out a bit.
