How to get a tent?

Spoiler: show

A tent is a small personal hideout that you can create in almost any random encounter map in the wasteland. Items stored inside the tent are safe, as long as you don't bring any other player there, which makes it a must have for any character who has no other way to store items safely.

How to Acquire a Tent:
http://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/index.php?title=A_Tent_in_the_Wasteland (http://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/index.php?title=A_Tent_in_the_Wasteland)

How to follow players?

Spoiler: show

Left click and hold button on the player you want to follow, then choose this icon:

Arrow will appear above player, in game terms that player is "tagged" by you:

Text will appear, choose "follow" option to continue worldmap with player:

Tips for experience and caps

1. Sell your items for bartenders in towns (NCR, Vault City, The Den..)

2. With enough lockpick skill you can open footlockers in urban encounters and find some items.

3. Animals (Molerats, Dogs, Geckos..) are easy experience when you start playing. After you gain few levels and you have some good weapon, you should go kill some humans (Raiders, Trappers, Powder Gangers..) for better experience and some basic items.

4. Complete some quests or jobs for experience and caps.

3D troubleshooting for Linux by Mona (http://forum.fonline-reloaded.net/index.php?action=profile;u=3466)

Something for the Linux section, troubleshooting.
I use Gentoo. Somehow FonlineGL is extremely slow and gives bad picture so I play via Wine. It's just perfect but when I encounter 3D critters, the game crashes every time. I have all the drivers installed.
To solve this:

 1. Make sure you have 3D acceleration:

glxinfo | grep render
direct rendering: Yes
    GLX_MESA_multithread_makecurrent, GLX_MESA_query_renderer,
OpenGL renderer string: Gallium 0.4 on i915 (chipset: 945GM)

2. Have DirectX installed:

winetricks d3dx9_36

Make sure you have this version, others most likely will not work.

Very nice layout. That is all good advice and direction for new players.

Minor correction: "4. If you have some rare times to sell, use forums." (should be rare "items")

I see luck pretty important, I know that most of builds can survive with LK1 but I just want to make sure that there is less crit fails.

What kind weapons you use? And does you just use crafted weapons with 100% condition?

This is good guild, Thank you Strike for making it.

4 LK / 6LK is perfect for starter alts
My first alt in old 2238 was one of luck and i can not begin to say how menny times i was hit in the head by a laser mutant from unity and bypassed for 200dmg
1LK = 50/50% chance to be bypassed on any part of body
Each 1+ to LK gives you a 5% higher chance of avoiding this issue

I would suggest adding how to specify additional key bindings via fo2238config since most new players don't even look at that part.

The how to follow people needs to be added to the wiki, also the player interface needs to be explained on the wiki. For example what are all them icons for and what do they doo?

These are questions new players will be asking. Not everyone who will come to Fonline reloaded will have played FO1 or FO2.

On what page do you suggest we add that info about the follow option?

I would make 2 new pages on the wiki one called interface, explaining all the in game icons. How they work and what they do.

Then a second page all about team play. Explaining how to team up with friends, how to setup gangs and that sorta stuff.

I understand how hard it is to write a wiki. I wrote most of the origins wiki...

thanks for the info my mutated friend!!, i've almost lost passion to the game ) It's not that upset when someone leads you to his hideout to kill and loot rather than to show how to fill the water bag. but dissapearing of stimpack and dynamite blueprints would be horrible.
