Well that's the thing, it could be a joke and most likely it is, but also it isn't completely unrealistic and leaves you wondering if it's possible that its real. That's why it's such a bad joke, especially when you realize how lazy this was compared to previous April 1st events like seeing all the tents on the map.Thats true nothing did really happen this aprils fools maybe its legit. Just only pvp and dont grind so you dont waste your time.

Even, if there is an wipe, I can't really play because I lost my PC few years ago, and not really interested to play anyway I did create new players guide and that was enough from me, did donate some huge amount of cash to server running.
I just now check forums very rarely, mostly when new software updates to SMF forum / Wiki, and notice Kilgore about them.

After all of the "wipe now" whining, it would be Poetic Justice to make the players EARN the Wipe by making a week of Events.
I am trying to do that, but I have run out of time.
Considering the small number of players that are likely to participate, I have more than enough crap to make several mini-events:
All Gear Provided By SantaKlaus
Examples:
"Hammer Time" - rippers, super sledges, super cattle prods, mega power fists... random armor, mostly low.
"Shotgun Shootout" - shotguns, shitty armor, that's it.
"Pistolero Pontification" - 223 pistols, shitty armor, that's it.
"Frag Party" - thousands of frag grenades, dozens of grenade launchers and hundred of grenade bullets, shitty armor.
That's it.
"Submachinegun Abbattior" - shitty armor, various SMGs, shitty armor. That's it.
"Incineration Nation" - A flamethrower fight.
"Laserama" - Lasers
"Plasmarama" - all things Plasma
"Tesla fiesta" - hundreds of Tesla Armors, people just zap each other in a town with large population getting in the way.
etc.
I have the goods (and/or the materials) to do this but not the time, due to nearness of Wipe.
DOCAN did elaborate that WIPE would be mid-August to Mid-September, so Devs could hold off for a couple of weeks while still keeping their word.
