Post by: Awgy on February 18, 2017, 04:33:37 pm
Hi all...

Since We have a lot of new player on server recently, and they soon reach levels high enough to start rerolling characters

I decided to make a little tutorial for how to make a Faction Bases.

Lets get started...

First of all You will need 10k caps to register faction and recruit Construction worker

After Gathering caps Type ~ffn in chat box to get list of Faction names you can pick

(Best way to browse faction names is to press F2 and save log of entire chatbox to .txt file in your game folder)

After picking a name go to NCR. South from main spawn you will find shed with NPC named Construcion Foreworker talk to him to start faction, and pick a base type.
(List of base types and mats required is here http://www.fonline-reloaded.net/wiki/index.php?title=Bases#DIY_Bases )

Use Dialog Option like on screen below and Type Your picked faction name using Say button (faction name must be typed exactly same as you see it on ~ffn list)

You will get an NPC Follower Take him to a spot where You want your base to be created (In my opinion best place for first base is close to hub so your new characters can get there straight from spawn)

Just spawn into encounter and talk to NPC

Voila You set your first construction site

On Message Board you can check what materials you need to finish construction.

Simply put them on ground in required quantity and you can finish base.

To allow Your other characters

You need Hideout clearance. To do this use terminal (monitor behind Construction Worker)

If you already have more than one base use Next previous buttons to select it.

Now add character to your faction database.

and done.

Even tho it might seem expensive to pay 10k per base, believe me it is way more reliable than tents and reading all maps every time, not to mention Rerolling character without need of using sanboxie.
